Free Baby Shower Invitations and My Favorite Baby Items For Quade!

One of my favorite things to do is host parties and I have planned hundreds over the years. Any excuse to get to play hostess and bring people together works for me! As much as I love parties, the absolute best ones are baby showers! In my opinion, every baby should be celebrated, whether it’s your first or your fifth! (And no, we are not announcing a fifth at our house!)

Since my own baby shower in the fall, I have discovered some pretty fantastic baby items that I want to share with you! I can’t believe how many amazing products are on the market since my last baby, just 5 years ago! Without further ado, here’s some of my favorite things for baby Quade! Each of these items are things we use every day and I couldn’t do without!
Fisher Price Auto Rock N Play Sleeper
When Oakley was born, these were fairly new on the market but NOW they have the AUTO feature which rocks the baby through the night. You can choose your setting for speed and even soft sounds and music! We seriously love the Rock N Play. Quade sleeps in it every night right by our bedside! The elevated angle of the sleeper gives me peace of mind too, in case he should spit up it won’t be so easy for him to aspirate. I honestly feel that every parent should have one of these for their newborn!
Zutano Fleece Booties
A friend shared about these booties with me because they stayed on her sons’ feet and after finding tiny baby socks all over the house because they never stayed on Quade’s feet, I decided these were worth the money. And they ARE!! They are super soft and warm, stay on with a little snap around the ankle, and come in every color and pattern under the sun! We have these brown ones but I'll be buying several other colors in the next size up soon! I can’t recommend these highly enough!
Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 Convertible Car Seat, Bohemian Red
I really wanted something fun and different for Quade. The material and color pattern of this car seat is GORGEOUS. It comes in a beautiful blue pattern too! This version of the seat is the convertible. We have the infant version which they no longer make but this new version is an even better value as it will adjust from infant to toddler. I absolutely love it. We get compliments on it everywhere we go. The best part is how cushioned and protected Quade is in this seat. He rarely cries in it because it’s so comfortable!
City Mini Baby Jogger
I have tried many kinds of strollers over the years and always heard great things about the City Mini Baby Jogger. I finally decided that this is the stroller for me—and I’m so glad we bought one! The best part for me is that it is easy to maneuver and I can fold it up with one hand by pulling a lever. So easy! Total lifesaver with my hands as full as they are these days! I can add a standing board on the back for Oakley too! Not that he needs it, but he thinks he does!
Baby Bump Moments Etsy Shop
I am just like so many other parents who love to use these cute stickers to record Quade’s growth and milestones! I bought some adorable stickers that look like ties from this Etsy shop for him but there are so many great options at this store to choose from! Love.
Fisher-Price Sit Me Up Floor Seat
I got this as a gift and wasn’t too sure about it at first but my friend brought her baby who is a few months older than Quade over for a playdate recently and he was in Heaven. Quade is finally old enough to spend some time in this chair and what both me and my friend like about it is that it helps them sit more upright than in a bouncy seat. It also folds easily so I can store it out of the way when we are not using it. It’s a nice item to have if you want to take a seat somewhere or keep at a grandparent’s house!
Baby Einstein: What Floats: Splash & Giggle Bath Book
Okay, so this Is not a new item for us, but this book and others in the series, were favorites for ALL 4 of my boys. It’s so amazing to me that they all have the same reactions to these books. They get so excited when I read them and Quade literally starts kicking and cooing the minute I begin to read it. Every. Time. And because it’s a bath book, he can drool all he wants on it too! Bonus. Ha!
Mustela 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash
There. Is. No. Better. Scent. Than. Mustela. I discovered this amazing brand of products with my firstborn and we have never used anything else during our kids first years. The smell is ridiculously wonderful. This hair and body wash is perfect for babies and once bath time is over, we use the lotion too. I kid you not, it smells heavenly. Everyone who holds Quade within the 24 hours after his bath inhales deeply and exclaims about how good he smells. Try it and you will see for yourself! Believe it or not, I’m still on the hunt for the perfect diaper bag! I bought one for my husband Guy and have been borrowing his but it’s super masculine. I need a girly one for me!
